My husband and I want to name our baby, if it's a boy, after our deceased grandfathers.

Richard for his Pap with the middle name Lawrence for my Papa.

I don't want my son to be teased so I'm wondering if kids today know about Dick being short for Richard?

I know plenty of friends that have named their kids 'unusual' names like Neveah, Celestine, Avery, Zelda, or Ganon so I hope they'll fit in.

Maybe Richard isn't so unusual?
