Bending over while pregnant???

Question

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I work at Ulta. Needless to say I'm constantly bending and kneeling to stock something or get something. My co workers keep telling me don't bend. It's bad for the baby and can cause it to come early. 
Is this true? I don't see how I can avoid bending

I bend over to pick up 275lbs when I'm deadlifting at the gym.  Send your coworkers to me and they'll think your daily bending at work is nothing in comparison. 😜
But in all seriousness, it's totally fine to bend over.  Too many people think pregnancy is a "weakness" or a vulnerability to the tiniest things.  Our bodies were made to do this and it's not easy to mess things up.  😉

I don’t think I’ve ever heard that bending is bad. I personally squat to reach low stuff though, and squatting is good exercise and prep for labor.

My doctor said some women work in a field until they give birth, I think it will be fine, just be careful lifting.

Nope. My first baby I was working as a newspaper delivery girl delivering stacks of papers to businesses (like 200+ papers at a stop) I also swam laps for a college class and took a fitness walking class. Now I have a 3 year old a 1 year old and I am constantly bending. Totally normal and perfectly safe.

I’ve never heard bending is bad for the baby. I only have issues bending of my chronic back issues which are worse in pregnancy.

You can do the same things physically while you’re pregnant as you could before you were pregnant.

I feel like it's a myth. My son is 3 and when I was pregnant with him I didn't limit myself on things I did. Two of the woman who keep telling me to stop bending had miscarriages before and that's why I'm getting so freaked out by the advice.
