TRIGGER*rape

Not sure where else to post such a random question but it's been bothering me all day and I'm wondering what others think. Forgive me if it's ignorant.

So I asked some guy friends If another man bigger and stronger than them attempted to rape them how would they fight him off. Their responses were all the same. They are pretty adamant that they would fight until they die. I even asked what if a weapon was used, they still said they'd fight until death. Do you think this is just a pride thing? An ego thing? I'm not sure if I believe them. Maybe they want to look "tough" I'm not sure but Have any of you asked any men you know? Idk I'm just curious. And honestly I'm shocked they'd choose to die. I'm not sure if I were raped I'd fight until I die! Again sorry if this isn't allowed or it's ignorant.
