TMI bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant???!!!

Is this normal to bleed like this at 6 weeks pregnant?

I’d get checked out to be on the safe side. In my last pregnancy I had brown blood and period like cramps, as the day progressed the blood became heavier and turned bright red and lasted for almost a week. Sadly it didn’t turn out to be good news for me 😞

So, I don't want to freak you out or anything but, with my last pregnancy I had bleeding like this on and off all the way until 11 weeks and I thought nothing of it because it was brown and usually we're told not to worry if it is; anyway, at 11 weeks it was still brown but it was a bit more than it normally was. Though it still wasn't enough to where I had to wear even a panty liner. Anyway, I sat in the e.r for a few hours. They did a abdominal u/s which was blurry and then a transvaginal u/s and for whatever reason the ultrasound tech kept the TV on so I could see and my uterus was empty. I went back to the room to wait for the Dr. She came in and wanted to do a Pap smear and a few seconds after she got down there she had she had to ask the nurse for the trash can because I had started to bleed heavily. 
Like I said, I don't mean to scare you and it could mean absolutely nothing but its always best to get checked if you're unsure.
