need advice

so me and my boyfriend have been together for almost a year now... he is amazing!!! he cooks dinner just as much as me, he cleans just as much as me, we are pretty much equal on all house hold duties... he keeps my car cleaned inside & out, I never have to pump my own gas even if he is in his car he will stop just so I don't have to pump it!!! he is pretty much the most amazing man I know... except... he isn't very affectionate, we don't hold hands, we don't randomly kiss or hug.... we don't have a very affectionate relationship & this is something I'm not use to I wanna constantly be loving on my man and he just isn't with it... I feel like if I keep trying to get that affection it might push him away, but deep down that's what I want and if he isn't willing to even meet me half way I don't know what to do!!!! I love him like I said he is the greatest but I want to feel wanted like I'm the only girl or at least like he is proud to have me wants me the way I want him!!!! please help!!!!
