To everyone trying to induce early:

Please don’t.

When people say, “baby will come when they are ready” it’s the honest truth and I didn’t believe it until I had my own experience.

I was in your shoes. I had hit my due date and I was so done with being pregnant. I wanted nothing but to just have my baby in my arms.

Throughout my pregnancy, both baby and I were perfect healthy. We had zero complications at all. So my thought process was, if we are so healthy, why can’t he come now?!

Well I’m glad he didn’t. Once he was born at 41 weeks (naturally not induced), we were given the news that my son has a heart murmur due to three different defects in his heart. They were never discovered via ultrasound when I was pregnant. If he came earlier than he had, they could have been much worse.

So my point is, let baby come when they are ready. Listen to your doctors. There is a reason they don’t induce until a certain point. I never in a million years would have expected my son to have what he has until it happened. You never think something will be “wrong” with your child until it is. So inducing earlier than your baby is ready, (unless your doctor thinks it is necessary) is not worth it.

You’ll make it through these last weeks and it will be so worth it when you get to hold your little angel!

So go for walks, keep your mind busy and rest (you won’t sleep at all the first few days but it does get better) you will be so happy and have so much less stress if you just let your body do what it is meant to do.

Roman is now 6 days old and couldn’t be doing better ❤️ I’m so glad I let my body grow such a perfect human being.
