Teeth? Worry or no?

Shane Alice

Due to my OCD thoughts being unmedicated for a year there are some small things I constantly obsessively think about. My appearance being a huge one. Lately one of them have been my teeth. I want honest options. Now also let me admit. My safety net has been sucking my thumb for the past 16 years of my life, it is only now I have been trying to quit. Because of this the left side of my teeth have created a small gap where my left thumb has sat. I also have a small over bite. The reason I am suddenly obsessing is because recently my teeth shifted to fill some of the gaps I previously had. This brought to attention that even at almost 17 years of age, my teeth can still shift and will continue to with age. But, the process of shifting teeth due to age can be accelerated by other forces, such as thumb sucking. I want honest options, if you had teeth like mine, would you get them corrected? Honestly, I'm on the fence because they are not that bad (Especially for sucking my thumb for so long). In fact they are quite good. The only things: I have slight spaceing on the top row, a small over bite, some crowding on the bottom and of course the left being a little open (I have also recently noticed my right tooth is a slightly bit longer than the left). In the comparison photo you can see I had many gaps I no longer have.
