Help end an argument about toddler's bedtime

What does your toddler's bedtime routine look like? What time does it start and how long does it take before they're actually asleep? Do they stay asleep or stay in their own bed all night?

My husband and I have very different expectations for our 2.5 year old sleeping in a new twin bed and I'd love to see how our opinions compare to everyone else's typical night.

Obviously we all have our perfect goal.. but what does your reality look like? How long did it take to create your routine?
