Ladies I need help

Okay so I have a problem, I was hanging out with this guy and we’ve hung out before but it’s never been anything because we have mutual friends. Anyways, he was hard core trying to get at me one night, which I was down he’s cute sooo we start getting into it and he kept getting soft! And I don’t know if it was me or not!? I mean he did tell me that him and his girl broke up a week ago but idk if that’s why ? Or am I just ugly ? Like why do guys get soft ? I was soo embarrassed. I asked him if it was me and he said no. But I think it was me :( what do you guys think? I’ve never experienced that. Please help!
