To those who’ve had your babies, did your water break before contractions started?

I have this fear of it happening randomly while I’m at work & even have extra clothes in my car just in case. My midwife said only 15% of women or so have their water spontaneously break before labor is really active but still...

Lol. my water actually broke at work with my first kid. It wasn't bad, didn't make a huge mess like it does on tv.  I just waddled  out to my car to go home.

Mine started slowly leaking and my contractions didn't even pick up. They actually had to come in and completely rupture it and then start pitocin to get the show on the road 🙌🏻

mine broke while I was eating a late night night dinner and watching a movie. Had no signs it was going to happen not even one contraction had to have pitocin to start contractions because I was gbs positive

I was 10 cm dialated and already had my epidural. They had trouble breaking my water and it literally didn't break until right before he was crowning.
