What would you do?

Question

So I'm in a wedding in early November. I haven't told family or friends and we don't know how far along we are - we find out tomorrow - so how would you handle that. The groom is my friend and I know he's going to want to do shots and I will need to participate in the toasts somehow. Also, my family will be there😳 so it's not like I just have to play it off by myself but my mom will be watching me, I'm sure...help! Ha! I'm also worried about the bus ride to pictures...gah! I don't want the whole bus to know! I don't even want my friend to know...unless we will be at 13 weeks at that time...

On a new medication, antibiotics for a cold. On a new diet that involves alcohol being cut out.

Drink mocktails or say you’re on antibiotics.  Most people won’t even notice though

I was 11 weeks pregnant at my brother’s wedding and could hide it in my bridesmaid dress :) and I was able to get one of their personalized drinks (a strawberry Moscow mule) but without alcohol so I used that to toast with instead of the champagne! But then again everyone already knew I was pregnant because we told our family the day we got our positive test :) best of luck and enjoy the wedding! Such happy occasions :)

Not ideal, but could you tell your friend so he knows not to make a big deal about the shots? But as everyone else said, no one can fight with you saying you're on antibiotics. Just say if was for a stomach thing, then they won't even consider it haha

I'm in the tww and if I'm pregnant will find out before Halloween. I'm not as worried about Halloween because its a house party and I can put something non-alcohol in a wine bottle and no one will be the wiser. Theres a big birthday party on November 3rd for a close friend at a bar and that's the one I'm worried about. My plan is to get to the bar early and talk to the servers who will be looking after our massive group and just explain that if I order a vodka and soda  every time please don't put the vodka in it...
I have no problem telling close friends though a lot of them know we are TTC but it's the bunch of acquaintances I don't want to know yet. 
If it were me I would tell your mom and the groom so maybe he won't make a big deal when you don't do the shots and leave it at that. But everyone is different and I would understand if you don't want everyone to know. Best of luck with this! 💕🤞

Make a mocktail and drink that instead. My favorite drink has orange juice, passion fruit juice, rum and I put lots of fruit in it. So I'd just make it without the rum. And if anyone asks later after you announce just say you were drinking a virgin drink because you knew but didn't want everyone else to know yet-people understand that.

I was at a wedding this weekend and drank ginger ale and lime. I just made sure I ordered without anyone suspicious around. I also went to a work cocktail party at 8 weeks pregnant my first baby. I told one of the bartenders and she served me mocktails all night.

I found out I was pregnant the day before my Brother-In-Law’s wedding last month. I am a known party gal so everyone was looking to me for a good time. I just kept fake sneezing and telling everyone I had a sinus infection and was on meds that I couldn’t drink on. Worked like a charm.
