So I finally decided to tell my parents and was met with immediate judgement. I’ve spoken to both of them and neither one said “congratulations.” It’s hurtful because my brother and his wife just had a baby two days ago and when they announced the pregnancy, there was such joy and excitement surrounding it. After speaking with my mom, I just sent both of them a long text about how hurtful it is that they aren’t more supportive but I also mentioned to them that me and Hubby are happy and that’s all that matters. Their reaction is why I didn’t want to tell them. I’m just really annoyed and hurt. But whatever, this baby is loved and we can’t wait to meet whomever is cooking in there. Anyone else get any less that supportive reactions?
