Help????

Question

My 3 week old baby just slept through the night and is still asleep. Is it safe that she slept for that long? We did battle sleep yesterday and we were very constipated so I'm wondering if she's just exhausted from that. Just wondering if there is anything wrong with letting her sleep for that long, thanks.

My daughter has been sleeping through the night (10-12 hours straight) since she was 5 weeks old. She’s now 5 months old next weekend and still sleeping just as well. I’ve never woken her to eat and always felt that it was a bad habit to get into as well. I didn’t want a 12 month old who still woke x times a night out of habit lol Her pediatrician has never been concerned either. She eats plenty, is right on track with her growth, and has plenty of wet diapers as well. So if she wants to sleep then let her sleep!

what was her weight at get 2 week visit
why would you think she constipated
is she breast or formula fed?

As long as she’s up to birth weight let her sleep. Sleep helps growth.
