Does bleeding from miscarriage count as your period?

Not sure how to chart, and how long to wait before trying again.

I miscarried and passed everything August 20th in the hospital I was suppose to be around 9 weeks and the baby was only measuring around 6 weeks so it had stopped growing, I bled lightly until September 8th. After it finally stopped I started trying again because they only recommended you waiting a couple of cycles for dating. They say your normal period should return within 4-6 weeks but then on October 2nd I got my first period. Everyone is different though but I hope this helps!

I’m sorry for your loss. I miscarried on 9/22, and at first I was counting that as CD1. However lately I’ve wondered if maybe CD1 should be around the time when your beta levels are negative? When I switched the dates around, the new dates seem to coincide with when I think I ovulated. I think! My doctor suggested I wait a cycle. But your body is not going to ovulate until it’s ready, so we started having unprotected sex within two weeks. I felt ready then, but it seems to be a personal choice for every woman. I would at least wait a couple weeks or until after the bleeding has stopped for a few days to prevent infection.

Depends on when you miscarried ! I miscarried at 5 weeks so it was like a late period ! 😕
