Quickening???

Tomorrow marks my 20 weeks of pregnancy, my first pregnancy. My doctors keep saying I should feel the baby by now, I think I am feeling him move but I can't tell. It almost feels like my stomachs growling but it's not.... has anyone else experienced this? Is it the baby? Is there anything I can do to feel the baby move? I'm worried.

Cold water gets my little one moving around. I can’t drink orange juice without getting heartburn these days.

Yeah... my dr said you shouldn’t feel the baby really until 23-25 weeks. I felt the baby once at 20 weeks and then never again until 23 weeks! The last two weeks have been very intermittent, and I am 25 weeks today.

You feeling the baby move depends on several factors. One, how much you weight, if you're on the plus size of things you may not be able to feel bubs moving yet. Two, where your placenta is located, if it's an anterior placenta it will be a bit longer than those with a posterior placenta. Plus, every baby and pregnancy is different. For me, I am 20 weeks and have only felt baby move a couple of times

I didn’t start feeling my baby move until about 22 weeks. Everyone’s body is different and I wouldn’t worry if I were you

Try not to stress too much. That probably is baby you're feeling, but placenta location can prevent you from feeling baby as early as you'd think. I worried myself sick being unable to feel my second baby kick as early or as often as my first. Turns out I have an anterior placenta so I can't feel every move she makes as much as my son. Orange juice usually gets the baby kicking. Try drinking some and laying on your side.
