When should I announce my pregnancy to my family?

I'm curious as to when I should announce my pregnancy to my family. I want to do it Thanksgiving however my hubby thinks we should wait till Christmas. I do think that a Christmas announcement would be way more exciting and intimate. However, waiting for that seems impossible and I feel like it will be hard for me to not spill the beans before then.

We’re planning to tell immediate family at Thanksgiving and then the whole world on Christmas. I think telling the family early is fine, as long as you think they can be trusted to keep it a secret until you feel comfortable announcing to everyone else.

I will be 11-12 weeks around Thanksgiving as well and planned to make an announcement. While a Christmas announcement would be so magical, I don’t want to wait that long! Is already hard to bite my tongue for this long and I’m only 6 weeks and 3 days! I will tell a few more family members after my 9 week appointment, however. But I have a giant family and I have some that I’m closer to than others, so most wont know until Thanksgiving.

I would do immediate at Thanksgiving, everyone else at Christmas. I'll be 12 + 4 days at Thanksgiving so I'm making the everyone else announcement. I've got a ton of for corny ways to announcement like "Got my own little turkey cooking in this oven" 😂
