Isn’t 13 weeks too soon??

I was at my 13 week ultrasound today and the Ultrasound Tech told me she was 80% sure that I was having a girl. I asked her why she thought that and she told me that it’s because there is a small triangle pointing downwards, if it were a boy it would be facing upwards...  Has anybody else been told this? I’m just really curious to know if she’s right or not. 😊

uhhh no, genitalia are NOT fully develops by 12 weeks, that's why there's a thing called the nub theory (which is apparently what the rec was going by, however I believe it's ONLY a theory). at 11-14ish weeks both sex have a nub.

My outside ultrasound tech told me I was having a girl at 12 weeks, I didn’t go crazy buying anything until it was confirmed at several other appointments cause she always had her legs closed 🙄😂 regardless she was right , but I’d wait to get it confirmed in a few more weeks 😘

Genitalia are fully developed at 12 weeks so it's very possible and she's right!

I think you can start telling by 12-13 weeks, but it's definitely not a guarantee she's right. I've definitely heard of people being able to see genitalia at 12 weeks. But don't go out and start buying gender specific stuff just yet
