1st set of twins!??!

Question

So I was told by my doctor that it is hard to distinguish Twin A from Twin B, they are so close together. Also I don’t see a line between them, does this mean they are in the same sac? Is this bad? Has anyone else been told this? I’m 9 weeks and 2 days.

They could be in the same sac, but it's pretty rare for MoMo twons although not impossible. 1 placenta 2 sacs are MoDi twins, I personally just had MoDi twins and they were discovered at around 6 weeks from 6 weeks until 10 weeks my twins were considered MoMo because the dividing membrane could not be found. At 10 weeks they finally found it. If you do have a dividing membrane it is VERY small and VERY hard to find. Please seek a referral to a MFM if you haven't seen one yet.

also, your twins are identical if your doctor couldn't distinguish which was A or B. Because they are identical you are now considered a high risk pregnancy which means you will need to see BOTH  an OB AND a MFM. And because they are identical, it is completely different from a DiDi pregnancy and if MoMo you should deliver by 32 weeks, if MoDi max is 36+6.
