hello everyone. I'm new to understanding all the ways to find out when ovulating and ttc. What when and how do I take a basal temperature and what does it do? How does it help me? What does a high or low temperature mean?

all the apps say I ovulate at different times and now I used an ovulation test this month. We've been ttc for almost 2 years with no success. Help please.
