Not weighing self while dieting?

Has anyone decided NOT to weigh themselves as frequently during dieting? Typically research says weighing yourself same day and time of day once a week is pretty accurate. I find having a lot of mixed emotions about it. I know that for some it keeps them on track, week by week to know what’s working best or what’s not, and their progress. Has anyone tried not weighing themselves as often, maybe once a month instead... and focusing on their health and habits and have had success that way?
