When to announce?! I’m 14 weeks tomorrow.

I want to announce to my family and friends but I’ve read so many awful things about miscarriages 💔 Baby’s heart rate was 176 the first appt. And 167 the second. This is my first pregnancy. Do you think I’m in the clear or should I wait until my next appt to hear heart beat again the first week of November? 😅

I think if you're ready and excited about posting, then do it! The sad and frustrating thing is that something can always go wrong. No matter when you announce. But you've reached a point where it's way more likely that things will go right! So post if it makes you happy. And soak up all that awesome baby excitement!

I think you can tell close family and friends - if anything went wrong, their support would be welcome.

I was going to announce at 20 weeks. My friend lost her baby last week and she was 14 weeks along. A few days ahead of me. It made me worry and now I'm waiting. I told my friends and family but social media people can wait.

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 12w4 and I had told everyone at 8 weeks (which I regretted). I'm now 14w1d and still have announced.. I plan on waiting awhile still. But announce when you're ready.

Of you have no personal or family experience to concern you about miscarriage, go for it. I have announced right away with all of ours, at least to a few friends. We delayed the Facebook announcement this time, because our last was ectopic, but only enough to make sure this one stuck in the right place. Even though our loss ended up being super public (everyone knew I was pregnant at 5 weeks, because it cancelled my scheduled surgery!), I would not really change anything. The only people I am really close to are people from church that I want to support me in a time like that anyway!
