Any business owners?

Question

My husband and I want to own/open our own business one day. I have a BS in business management and operations management. He’s currently getting his degree in business too (He was a Marine before).
We are not very creative people but have more of a business mindset. 
Anyone out there have their own business? How did you get started and how did you figure out what you want to do?

Find out what is popular in your area. For example, i live in a military town. In some military towns you can “rent” fencing up to a certain size for your yard. So many people now are interested in this idea. Every place is different though. Pay attention to your local buy sell trade pages. You’d be surprised the ideas you see there. Or just talk to your friends, ask them what they wish you had. Good Luck!

My husband is an entrepreneur. He first bought a franchise out of school to kind of buy a business in a box and learn. Then sold it and started an online business selling health supplements. He did $1M in his first quarter of sales! He just went to a lot of business fares and stuff. Found what makes money I don’t know how he does it I think it just comes to you. I’m starting an online Etsy business right now making wood products out of fallen trees on our family farm. I also have a small cattle business.
