My boyfriend is being a real jerk about it just because HE doesn’t like piercings. it’s barely even noticeable but he’s been talking shit on me to his family and his friends. like literally sending me in group chats and roasting me. Is that a good boyfriend?

just straight up tell him that you got it with YOUR best friend, he has no control over you when it comes to that type of thing and then just tell him that you don't want to deal with that shit and if he has a problem with it and really cares about YOU then he can to get over it. and if he can't, then tell him he can leave. 
it may seem extreme, but I said that to my boyfriend because he was trying to pick my friends and would start talking shit everytime i brought them up and he realized that its my friends and he has no control over it. after that he never talked shit about them again when i was around!
