Just a sac?!?!

Question

So, I went this morning for my first ultrasound. Going by my last period, I should be six weeks, today. The ultrasound showed a sac, but no baby. He scheduled me to come back in 10 days. Should I be concerned? My doctor said I could very well be more like 5 weeks since my cycles weren't typically 28 days. Anyone experience this?

Yes that's normal not to be able to see your LO yet that early on. Next time you go he/she will be big enough for you to see 😊 I went at 6 weeks and there was barely a spec and at 10 weeks there was a little funny bear 🐻😍

It really is too soon to say.  I have had one where they just saw a sac that is now a healthy 9 year old and another that ended up never developing.  You know your body.  Just be calm and all will be known at the next ultrasound.  At that point if the baby is viable everything will be visible.  The most important thing is to keep taking prenatals, eat right and just relax.  Hoping for a rapid heartbeat at your next u/s.  Hugs!
