Anyone experienced "bright spot" on baby's heart?

I'm pregnant with my second baby girl, had suffered a miscarriage early this year, so this pregnancy has been full of ups and downs. My husband and I have been seeing a specialist in regards to a bright spot on our baby's heart, and have been told that it could possibly be a sign of Down syndrome... has anyone else experienced this? And has anyone actually had a baby with Down syndrome? 
I've chosen to not do the tests, as long as I have a happy healthy baby that's all I can ask for.

with my daughter, they told me she had 2 soft markers for Downs. she had an eif ( spot on her heart) and extra fluid in one of her kidneys. this is her now...

she is 100% healthy with no Downs.

Yes was told this with my son.  When you actually look into the statistics the odds of downs are so low, I think it’s kind of BS that they even call it a marker.  It’s like 1 in 500 chance.  My son was just fine and I’m sure yours is too if that is the only marker present.

We went through that exact thing. My husbands half sister (different fathers) has Down syndrome so we had the genetic screening at 13 weeks and were clear. Found out we're having a boy and at our anatomy scan at 18 weeks, our little guy had a bright spot on the left side and his right side was smaller than the left. This could be an early sign of Down syndrome or a heart condition but our genetics test were clear so we had many 2nd level ultrasounds with a specialist to rule out heart conditions. Thanks to our prayers his heart grew and the bright spot went away. The doctor said bright spots are decently common and are calcifications that pose no harm. It's hard not to worry though! Praying it's just a small calcification for your sweet baby💕

Thanks ladies 😊 this pregnancy has been full of bumps in the road, my husband claims I'm just being overly worried. Only have about 8 weeks til baby girl is here so fingers crossed! 😊

Experiencing the same thing with this pregnancy. My midwife declined any further testing because it’s just one soft marker... and usually this soft marker doesn’t mean much. She said it’s actually very common and not to worry because the first trimester testing came back normal. I’m not due until December so I won’t know the official outcome until then. But I’m staying positive for the both of us! ❤️
