Is it ok to take Metronidazole (Flagyl) while pregnant. I had went to the ER and they told me I have BV. To take the pill every 12 hrs (twice a day) for 7 days. Is this going to harm my baby? I am 9 weeks pregnant.

Yes its okay.  Vaginal infections untreated can lead to complications with the pregnancy so be sure to take the meds.  If you’re uneasy about it then call your OBGYN office this morning to clarify it’s safe

I'm not sure I suffer from chronic bacterial vaginosis and my doctor and me do vaginal medications because he says it doesn't interfere with the baby at all. But I honestly had no idea BV sucks 😔
