Is this too soon??

Is this too soon to go to the doctor and actually be positive?? or should I wait until next month? ? any advice will help. I didn't get my period so I am late. First time ever since i got my period. Last period was 9/3/17. ok let me clear it up. So i got a faint test on a First Response went to the doctor and th urine test was negative. I need to go Tuesday and get blood work done. SO I SHOULD OF ASKED IF ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS. URINE TEST NEGATIVE AND BLOOD POSITIVE??
