While pregnant should you take a prenatal vitamin?
Currently TTC and researching different prenatal vitamins, etc. I understand that vitamins are very important for growing baby, especially folate/folic acid.
Through my research (so far) I have found that most prenatal vitamins have 800 mg of folate while the recommended amount for pregnant women is only 400 mg. A few studies that I came across said that an increased amount of folate can be associated with higher risks of Autism. Others recommend to take a regular multi-vitamin instead of a prenatal and claim that is enough.
Feeling confused and overwhelmed!

Also, if you have a brand you love, comment below. I have previously taken the multi-vitamin by MegaFood and I really liked it. They also have a prenatal version called Baby and Me.
