Hey, ladies! I recently had the birth control, Nexplanon, inserted on Tuesday at 2pm. I've been given 3 different answers as to when it is safe to have unprotected sex. I've been told that if it's inserted within 5 days of the start of your period, it's immediately effective. I've also been told that I should wait 1 week or even 2 weeks with condoms. I had the bar inserted on the second day of my period. When is it safe for me to have unprotected sex with my boyfriend? Any answers are much appreciated! Also: I may get the chance to see him Sunday or Monday. Should we still use condoms to be safe, since it's before a week?
