Animals and babies?

Question

Just curious as to everyone’s thoughts on TTC and having a newborn with pets/animals. Whether it be dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies, etc. 
we’re TTC #1 and have.. a few ourselves but both were also exposed young and have few, if any, allergy symptoms which most pediatricians say is possibly the cause

I have 3 dogs and 17 weeks. All my dogs have been around babies and kids and do great, and I have no doubt they'll be great with my son when he arrives. My dogs are my babies too!

I'm not getting rid of my dogs just because I get pregnant and have a baby... unless one tries to eat the baby- that might cause me to reconsider

I have 2 cats and 10 chickens. While yes it is nice to expose my LO to the cats for allergy purposes, they are a pain in the neck to deal with. I love them all to death but it’s hard work having a baby and animals.

We have 13 ish animals.. ish because we rescue and I grew up with 5 at any given time so I absolutely plan on it!
