my dog is a weirdo and i love him so much. can anyone explain this behavior?
My 10 lbs mutt (about 4 y/o, had him since April) does this thing I've never seen a dog do before. Whenever he wants to greet me, he puts his front paws on my chest (if I'm laying/sitting down) and takes a long ass stretch. Like super exaggerated. At first it was only right after we woke up but now it's every time he hasn't seen me in an hour or two.
It's legit the most adorable thing ever, like I can tell he's demonstrating love/affection. I obviously enable it since it makes my heart sink, like I will look at him and say shit like "oh herro, good morning" at any time of the day and he will stretch-greet me. So fucking cute I just can't deal with it.
I'm just really curious about the behavior itself because I never had a small dog before him and he is the first one I ever seen do this. Anyone else's dog does this to them?
