ovarian cyst?

Can anyone tell me what it feels like to have a cyst? I have been in pain since ovulation,, I don't know if this is my problem, Or something different. My last period was extremely painful, and they usually never hurt. Idk what to do. Thanks!

if the pain is one sided then it's probably a corpus luteum cyst from the side you ovulated. I had it to. when I did an ultrasound on myself I saw it was hemorragic which means it had bleed into itself which is very painful. you may get a very sharp pain then it'll start to ease up then you'll know it's ruptured and the free fluid will resolve but does cause discomfort till then.

I'm sure people's experiences vary but in my personal battles with ovarian cysts, they usually don't hurt until they're quite large and burst and that is typically one sided and the pain lasts maybe a day.  (I did have a dermoid ovarian cyst that was leaning up against my large intestine and that caused a lot of pain on one side continuously until it was removed, but really it was the large intestine hurting rather than the ovary) What does hurt and ache for me (and cause painful cramping before and during my periods) is endometriosis. That pain is more general, all over aches and cramping. It's honestly tough to tell what the problem is though until you speak with a doctor and perhaps get an ultrasound. Good luck!

i started having abnormal periods and my periods are painful and i never experienced cramps during periods before. i have cysts on both ovaries so i get painful cramps on both sides. i never experienced cramps when i ovulated or probably bacause i never knew i was ovulating but this time i started using opk's and i did got a positive two days later the pain was horrible it was all over my lower belly and my lower back

They do hurt. Especially when they pop or start to leak. Its usually a really bad pain then cramping. If you get them a lot I think the only thing that prevents them is birth control. I was put on b/c when I was younger because of them. Havent had a problem since. Feel better 💝 You can go see your doc and get a ultrasound.
