What to do?!

Ok so my bf car got towed yesterday. He didnt have money and I had just got my direct deposit. So I told him I will pay to get his car out. I also told him that I didn't get paid a lot and I was using part of my half of the rent money to get his car out. So I was expecting him to pay me the money back when he got paid today but instead he just gave me his half of rent $500 without even mentioning the money I used to get his car out. He doesn't have intentions on giving me the money back. I clearly told him I dipped into my half of rent money any other person with commonsense and a grown man would be like "ok let me give my girl back the money she used to get my car out" even tho I didn't say "I would let you borrow the money" I was just expecting it back after I told him it was apart of my rent money and I'm kind of annoyed and irritated by this and I know if I mention it to him its gonna cause an argument cause he's gonna be like "you offered to pay to get it out you didn't tell me I have to give it back" I didn't have extra money to spend or just give away. He gets paid more than me and the fact that he didn't mention giving me the money is baffling to me.
