Can she sue me?!?

Sorry if this is the wrong room. I wasn't sure where to put it.

I'm moving out of my rental house at the end of the month. My landlord was going to be showing the house today. No big deal, right? Well she showed up 2 hours before the time we had agreed on, and just walked into the house. No call, no knock, no doorbell, nothing. She knows that I have 3 big dogs. I had planned on putting them outside before she got here (huge fenced in yard, lots of shade, and they have fresh water out there). Anyway... My pitt bit her! She's super protective over myself and my kids. My 20 month old was laying on the living room floor watching tv, using my pitt as a pillow (they're besties). When she came walking in unannounced, my dog started barking, and before I could make it to the front of the house, she had bitten her leg! Now my landlord is threatening to sue me! Can she do that? I understand that this is her house, but if she had shown up on the agreed upon time, my dogs would've been outside already. Plus, I still feel like she should've knocked, even if she showed up on time. Am I wrong? Can she really sue me for this??

Edit: My dogs are all up to date on their shots. I'm just completely baffled at the fact that she thought it would be ok to just walk in. I know renters have rights. One of those rights includes having appropriate notice (at least 24hrs) and I know that they can't just walk into the house (I did my research). I know that these are considered 2 separate incidents, so I wasn't sure where the line was drawn. I'm terrified that my dog is going to be taken away from me for doing her job 😭
