Tongue piercings?

I’m considering getting a younger piercing but I want it to look cute any advice with pain? Healing? Piercing process. Also where about a do they pierce in your tongue

The piercing isn’t really painful. Healing is a little sore. By 2 weeks you usually feel fine and have adjusted and can talk properly. They should tell you how to care for it. Youll need to avoid any alcohol products (mouthwash with alcohol and yes alcohol beverages) until its healed otherwise it’ll cause scar tissue and look off. I know this because i used the wrong mouthwash and it left a crater in my tongue. You’ll want to avoid anything spicy while it’s healing as well because its an open wound. Its best if you try not to move it a ton so it can heal but it obviously moves when you talk. My piercer told me to limit my talking the first day so it could calm down. Where it gets pierced depends on your tongue. Some tongues aren’t pierce-able. It all depends on the webbing underneath.

I got mine about two years ago now.
the pain wasn't so bad initially. it started to ache quite a bit the next morning, but was easily manageable with Tylenol. the swelling was quite inconvenient, as was trying to essentially relearn to eat noodles and talk around the foreign object now sticking out of my tongue. after about a week and a half, the swelling was pretty minimal, I spoke normally enough (sounded less like an obnoxious lisp and more like a cute one) and it didn't hurt at all by then.
some fun things you have to avoid for a bit after you get it done are:
-any alcoholic drink with yeast (also avoid too much bread and stuff like that) 
- spicy food (I wasn't warned by my piercer about this, but I sure found out on my own how bad that burns)
- no giving Bj's till it's all healed up
- avoid making out too much
- no straws.
and since you'll be mouthwash after everything you eat, drink (besides water), or smoke, I recommend an alcohol free mouthwash. you can use one with alcohol but it's going to sting Everytime you do it, and the more you have to, the more your mouth will burn. not to mention it can cause oral thrush.

I got mine done a few months ago. Healing wasn’t really fun but it was short. The piercing itself didnt really hurt me. They put a long bar to accommodate the swelling and it’s hard to talk. UOU have to keep it in for about 1 week to 2 weeks then switch to a smaller bar. Take pain pills when you first get it make sure they aren’t blood thinners like in headache pills and stay away from dairy. Mine mostly hurt the first 4 days but becauae of the swell bar I had a lisp lol
