Will I be asked if I'm sexually active?

I'm planning on going to the doctors tomorrow with my mum to see about going on the pill. I have a boyfriend that I have been with for a while and yes we have had sex multiple times (condoms used of course). My mum has no idea of this and the main reason for getting the pill is to regulate my period/cramps (added bonus of contraceptive). Will the doctor ask me if I'm sexually active? I don't wanna lie but my mum will be there so I can't say I am. Is there a way to hint to a doctor?? (Idk if there is but ya know). Please help!!

I suspect that you have reached the age where it is more appropriate for your parent to sit in the waiting room while you are in the exam room. Then you can have a frank conversation with your doctor.

Yes the doctor will ask and you should always be honest with your doctor. You could have your mom sit in the waiting room so shes not in there when you talk to the doctor but if you’re sexually active the doctor needs to know

The doctor will ask you if you are sexually active but at a certain age doctors will actually ask your mom to stay in the waiting room for this reason so you may speak freely but personally I would say have an open conversation with your mom about it

If you have a good doctor like i did they will ask your parents to leave before asking any sensitive topics. They want you to feel comfortable with you telling them the truth and dont care if your parents know or not.

GIRRRLLLL THIS WAS MY NIGHTMARE OMG
I told the doctor I was sexually active (they have a questionnaire that you have to fill out usually and I checked yes) and my extremely conservative mom was there. When I went into the bathroom to pee in a cup the nurse ASKED HER IF IT WAS CORRECT. 
She said no, it wasn’t possible, and they asked me again when I got into the room with the doctor, and I said yes, but that my mom wasn't supposed to know. It was terrible. 
She called up my boyfriend's parents, told them what happened, and they had a whole meeting to figure out what to do with us. Long story short, we weren't allowed to hang out again and our relationship fell apart because of it.  
The only reason I told them I was sexually active was because he hadn’t pulled out the last time (we were dumbasses, not using protection, but his pullout game was strong af so I hadn’t been worried until then) and I was highkey terrified of getting pregnant. 
Honestly, I’d be very careful about it. If there would be long term consequences if your mom found out, I wouldn’t tell them just yet. Otherwise it’s always best to tell them anything and everything.

Ask your mom nicely if she’ll wait in the waiting room since they may do a Pap smear or something. They will most likely ask you.

They will/should ask because they would probably want to do bloodwork, a pap and make sure you are practicing safe sex. Perhaps your mother could wait in the waitroom and you could relay information to her about the birth control.
