Has anyone had the hospital stop your labor without asking your OB?

My OB told me she wouldn’t stop my labor but the hospital did. They didn’t call her but asked their on call? I’m very confused and upset.

most hospitals will at least try to stop it before 37wks only because of their practices and procedures in place so they can't be sued. it sucks but even your doctor would have to go by their rule to at least try if he has signed a contract to deliver at that hospital and it's policy. unless there are specific things that happen that prevent them from stopping it most hospitals try. sorry hun I know it's not fair.

Went to my dr today and I’m still having contractions but haven’t dilated. They are calling the hospital to find out what shot they gave me because I cannot remember for the life of me. But we think it was just a small muscle relaxer.
