Zoos and aquariums do you support??

Question

So I’m assuming we’ve all seen blackfish on Netflix about the killer whales at sea world.
Do you guys go to aquariums with family or friends. From what I’ve been reading about dolphins is that some are captured from the wild when they are babies and sold to aquariums in Asia and then some are resold to aquariums in the US as well.
I haven’t been to sea world since I was about maybe 11 or younger for a field trip at school so I never intended to go with my kids because I don’t really like sea world it’s kinda boring.
But on the Facebook page called DoDo impact they show tons of posts about the dolphins and how the are captured same with other animals and how they are treated in shows either in the circus or in aquariums as well.
Should places like those be allowed to keep the animals or simply set them free?

I dont like the concept of seaworld, but most aquariums in my area act as a rehabilitation zone for animals such as sharks, dolphins and sea turtles. Or shelters for ones they have rescued. They have catch, rehab and release programs where they will heal them and put them into a populated tank. Based off of that / their time in captivity they will release them and have a party

I’ve not seen Blackfish. I’ve also not been to the zoo and I’d have to do research on any I attended.
The closest aquarium to me is the Monterey Bay Aquarium and they are very renowned and well-rated. They have some pretty great programs like their Otter rehabilitation program. I’ve been before and would go again.

ive never seen the movie that youre talking about. but i am firmly against keeping dolphins in captivity. they are intelligent beings who have names for each other, who can recignize different languages, and have hobbies like we do as humans. plus so much more. i feel like keeping dolphins is almost ad cruel as kidnapping a human and forcing them to perform against their will

Yes. Not all zoos or aquariums, but ones that are AZA accredited and properly maintained. Both zoos and the aquarium where I live always receive excellent ratings and do very good work.

I don’t like the idea of show and animals being taken from the wild.  Now the zoo in my area works to rebuild animal population up of endangered species.  Most of the animals they have are endangered or have not been seen in the wild for years.  The zoo works to Bring the population.  Which is kind of cool.

I've been to zoos and aquariums, many seem to be leaning towards rehabilitation. I have a few friends that got into that field to rehab animals so I do think the good intentions are there especially as these informative docs come out. No, I would not pay to go see them for entertainment or the circus.

I understand that a lot of zoos and aquariums are put in place in effort to protect species and with that I agree. HOWEVER, I firmly believe that they should ONLY take in the species that they can PROPERLY house/care for  (i.e. Adequate habitat/SIZE of habitat). 
A couple years back I visited my local zoo (LA zoo) and I noticed the jaguar was placed in a small cage and was under obvious stress ( restlessly pacing back and forth).

it's all about how they get the animal, and how it's treated. if the place is a Rehabilitation Center that's cool. or if they have animals that have been rescued and can not go back to the wild. 
I talked with a cast member at Disney's Epcot ocean center and she was telling me how the Dolphins they have can't be returned to the water because of where they rescued them from and how they had been treated. 
but then you go to these places in the Caribbean that you can take photos with dolphins and you cringe wondering where they got this beautiful animal from. don't do this.
