IVF is high risk?
I had my 16 week appointment this morning and was told that my 20 week anatomy scan will be done by a high risk ultrasound facility because IVF makes the pregnancy high risk. The doctor tried to explain that the reasoning for needing the IVF could be hidden chromosome all issues that are seen in the baby. What types of things would be different on this ultra sound than a regular one? Are they just looking more deeply into possible issues? My 1st pregnancy was fine with no IVF and no health issues at all. I was just taken aback when she told me I was considered slightly high risk just because of male factor IVF.
