Cancelled Birthday ❌ UPDATE!!

Would you believe in not doing anything to celebrate your child’s birthday if they haven’t done anything to deserve presents or being taken out to eat or something? Like the most they would get is a happy birthday & maybe a card & that’s all... my mom did it to me once because I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to do around the house & just misbehaving & not listening. It was pretty much a normal day. It sucked, but definitely taught me a lesson... thoughts?

***Update: thanks for all the responses everyone! Really this was just to get a view from how other people think. Regardless of whether you agree with my views or not, I’m still gonna do what I want to do as a parent 🤷🏾‍♀️ but truly I respect everyone’s opinions no matter what. We’re from all walks of life, different backgrounds, all raised differently so of course that plays a major part in how we are as adults & how we see different situations.
