LO is only 4lbs at 36weeks, anyone else??

Question

I am 36 weeks and my baby has been said to weigh only about 4 lbs. Doctors are worried that she isnt getting enough nutrition thru the cord and thats why shes so small. I have been going for NST twice a week and have doctors visits every week. Baby still moves around and heartbeat is great.
Is anyone elses baby around this weight at 36 weeks?

It’s just a guess at 34 weeks they told me my baby was over 8 lbs.  his was 6lbs 4 oz at birth.

Keep in mind it’s only a guess. At 36 weeks they said my daughter was 5.14 pounds via ultrasound and she was born that day at 6.11 pounds.
I’m 35 weeks and they just measured my son via ultrasound and said he was 5.2 pounds and told me he was small. 🤔

At my last US my daughter weighed 4 pounds 10oz which was 2 weeks ago im 35 weeks on saturday. its just an estimate they can never really be 100% sure

Yes just remember it’s a guess and can easily be off by a good 2 pounds. At 37 weeks I was told my LO was about 6lb5oz (keep in mind I was very surprised because previously he was measuring small and I had low PAPP-A hormone so there was a good chance I’d have a low birth weight baby). That being said I had my LO almost a full 3 weeks later at 39w5d, if he was 6lb5oz at 37 weeks and you follow the rule that they gain about a half pound a week the last few weeks he would have weighed about 7.5 maybe 8 lbs. He came out weighing 5lb6oz. So I wouldn’t worry too much. Could they be correct of course but there a very good chance they are wrong as well. You still have 4 more weeks to go so there’s still time for that baby to grow.

How do they even estimate? I haven’t been told what they think my baby’s size is. They don’t plan to do another ultrasound (the last one was at 20-weeks and I’m 36), do do they just guess with weight gain and measurement? Curious.

I'm 39 weeks and my babygirl is just measuring 6lbs they said she's small but not concerned about her being tiny as I'm small myself!

I’m 30 weeks and just had a growth scan and they said baby girl was on the larger side at 4Ibs, we were surprised and even told the doctor we really believed she was going to to be small. It’s only a guesstimation and I would be skeptical for sure, I always am because we were told our first would be 7ibs and he came out at 9Ibs!

My son was 7lb 7oz when I delivered him at 36 weeks. Your dr sounds like they’re monitoring you closely so I’m sure all will be okay 😊
