What’s going to happen under Trumpcare?

Question

Since Obamacare will most likely be torn apart, how expensive will insurance go up? My husband and I qualify for subsidies, and we have a baby as well on the way would would have helped more. I live in Texas. Does any one have honest information I’m so confused and scared I have an autoimmune disorder and need health insurance, but don’t think I’ll be able to afford it any longer

You will lose or face drastic cuts to your subsidies.
Your employer will not be required to pay for insurance that covers anything that the employer have a moral objection to. 
You will not be able to purchase or you will face huge cost barriers to purchasing private insurance because of your preexisting condition.

I lost my plan years ago when obamacare came out, my premiums and deductibles have increased exponentially every year since, long before trump. I think the move was to spur congress to finally act on this. I am having a baby, had met the deductible on my current plan but because my job changed my new plan from my new employer has a whole new deductible. Oh yeah that deductible renews in December so if my baby comes after the new year I pay the deductible again. All problems pre trump, it’s going to cost me about $10k just in deductibles, let alone my premiums. I definitely want to help those less fortunate, but this plan is not affordable by any means and has required huge sacrifices to be made to be able to afford the deductible costs. Many middle class families have been skipping going to the doctor because their deductibles are so high or just paying the tax penalty because they make just a little too much for subsidies but not enough to be able to afford hundreds in premiums a month. Again not new problems. I don’t want to subsidize insurance agencies who have been making record profits the last few years. Again not saying what trump did is right, but it is forcing congress to finally address the problem.

No idea. I was on Medicaid, and because I got married, I lost my insurance. This was when Obama was still in office. I have no idea what it's like now. I've been without insurance for a long time.

If you qualify for subsidies, paradoxically, Trump ending the payments will help you (this year) because of something that has to do with the deal the government made with the insurers in the law (basically, ending the cost-sharing subsidies, which are different than the subsidies you receive, will make the government spend more money on health care). I think it'll be easier to get a gold plan for cheaper. But you have to remember to shop around. 
But that only gets you through 2018. I don't know what is going to happen beyond that.
