Is it normal to bleed early on the pill?

So I started my birth control about a week ago and a half ago. I just got off my period last week and I had sex with my boyfriend on Tuesday. I took my pill that day but I forgot to take it Wednesday. And now I’m spotting as if I’m going to start my period. Is it normal? Do I have anything to worry about?

Completely normal. This may mean you may not bleed during the placebo pills this time (if you have placebo pills). 
Nothing to be concerned about if you followed the pill packs instructions about giving the pill enough time to be effective and you're taking it at the same time everyday.
