Confused need help.

Hi girls so I recently got on birth control (the shot) and I’ve been spotting, and today I’ve bled some what a lot & also with a funky smell that I can not get rid of. It’s so embarrassing because it smells so nasty & I know it’s not an infection because I recently got checked & I was clean. Is there anything I can do get to get rid of the smell? Did any of you guys have this problem with this type of birth control?
