Bleeding at 5 weeks.... Any success stories?

Question

I'm 5weeks exactly today and woke up to some bright red blood. It didn't soak a pad and it's stopped now, but it was enough to scare the crap out of me! 
We're headed to the ER now to be safe.
Has anyone had this happen and ended up with a healthy baby? Or am I doomed to miscarry?

I had some bleeding in early pregnancy with no clots. I got pregnant natrually so im not sure if IVF makes things a lot diffrent. Anyway i went for an ultrasound at 7 weeks to make sure and baby was healthy. Im now 16 weeks pregnant. Bleeding is really scary but doesnt always end in miscarriage.

I should also say I'm an IVF patient and taking progesterone and estrogen support. 
My initial beta was 795
48 hrs later 1,255
48 hrs later 1,440 (yesterday) 
Doctor said once levels reach 1,000 they don't always rise as quickly and he wasn't concerned since they started high.
