I was brought to the US by my parents as a toddler in the 90’s.

We became legal residents in 2009, and in 2014 my parents and special needs brother became citizens.

Being that I was over 18 at the time, I couldn’t piggy back my parents and had to pay for it on my own, as well as take the time to test, etc.

I put it off until this year, where I got married to another citizen. I decided to apply for citizenship with a name change as well (taking my husband’s name).

Has anyone gone through something similar? I’m assuming that the “normal” steps to a name change would be different in this case.
