I’m seriously considering only having my husband in the room when I deliver (and of course the doctor and nurses!) I look at the birth of our first child as something extremely special that we can share in as a family, just us 3.

My close friend told me that was selfish and that I should include others, especially my mom since it is her first grandchild. I don’t agree but I also don’t want to hurt anyone else’s feelings. I also feel like if I ask my mom to be there, then my husbands mom will feel left out and upset since it’s her first grandchild as well.
