Gestational diabetes?

Question

It looks like I have gestational diabetes after two abnormal blood sugar tests and an OGTT. All were fasting.
Just wondering if any other mummies here can shed some light on what it means and what I need to change?
I have an appointment with my dr in a couple of weeks but am worried about everything I put in my mouth.
I’m 11 weeks 6 days.

basically now you must watch your diet. Stay away from foods with lots of carbs and sugars. make sure you monitor your blood sugar levels, and it helps to be active. Had gestational diabetes with my first born. he was born right on time, completely healthy.

Hangs your diet, no sugar, breads, pasta, carbs etc. insulin is the LAST result, of you cantget your levels down they’ll give you an oral pill to take twice / four times a day.

Hopefully it can be diet controlled and you can manage it by diet otherwise if you can't you'll be on insulin, I have it too I only found out a few days ago. You just have to monitor your blood glucose levels after meals etc
