Anti D injection?

Question

Has anyone had to take the anti D injection due to being a negative blood type and your partner a positive? 
I’m AB- and he’s A+ and was told I needed an injection... if anyone knows anything about it please comment... I’m kind of freaking out since I’m on holiday and won’t be able to get seen by the midwife & Doc until 2 weeks time!

I have O- and my husband has B+ so I received the Rhogram shot with my son who is now 3. The shot is given in your hip/butt area. Typically, you get it around 28 weeks and then again after delivery if your baby has positive blood type. 
I know I will receive again with this pregnancy.

I've heard of a shot for RH negative blood but I didn't think it was given until 3rd trimester

Also a note this really isn’t for the risk of different blood types in your pregnancy it’s more for future pregnancies so your body will not develop antibodies and cause complications for future pregnancies. It is very safe and effective :)

I’m B-, my last pregnancy I got the first shot at around 20 weeks.  The second would have been after birth if my child was Rh +.  Lucky for me she has my exact blood type.  The injection isn’t that bad I’ve both had one and I’ve given many.  Just a little sore.  The benefits out weigh the risk in my opinion.

I had to have the shot at about 4 weeks. I had a previous Mc and had lots of spotting this pregnancy so they just gave me one to be sure

I had a shot for rh-. I'm b- and my hubs is ab+. They did an injection in third trimester, and again right after our son was born. My on told me I will have to get it again.

I believe my mom did back in the late 80s with my sister. I know she was talking about negative RH factor and they needed to give her something for it before delivery.

I'm rh- (b- bloodtype)  what you are referring to is Rho fam shot.  you don't need it unless you have spotting or bleeding...any amount and you should notify your dr...some cases spotting won't cause you to need the shot.  then at 28 weeks you get the shot and again after you deliver.  nothing to worry about yet as long as you aren't bleeding. you only need it when there is a chance for your blood to mix with baby's blood.
