Nipple piercings?

I'd hate for mine to close up, but i have a feeling i have no choice. Anyone sucessfully breast feed and keep their piercings? I know you have to take them out during feedings of course, but did you manage to put them back in in between feedings? I have a feeling it'd be too sore. whats your experience?
